Welcome to Church Hill Haven Guest Suite #2

I finally got Church Hill Haven Guest Suite #2 ready in August. I had already painted the main areas last year in neutral greys. The main kitchen, living, and dining room had red and green accent colours.

Guest Suite #2 Furniture Transformation...
I commandeered a couple of pieces I had in my shed, left behind by my son. The old white dresser just needed a good cleaning and I painted it with a grey chalk paint and sealer. It serves as a TV stand and storage for movies, games, paper and an extra throw blanket.
The coffee table was made by my son when he was in high school, and has also languished in my sheds for several years. Black semi-gloss paint and a cabinet knob make it like new. I also painted my mother’s old table with the same grey chalk paint and sealer.
Guest Suite #2 Kitchen...
The key to this space was to simplify, while still having everything someone would need. A red kettle, tea towels, dishcloths and place mats were added and I also bought a new microwave and Keurig coffee machine. Of course, there is also coffee, tea, olive oil, salt and pepper,etc. and a full set of pots and pans and dishes.
Guest Suite #2 Livingroom...
The colour scheme for the main area came from the area rug. I moved my sofa bed and cube shelves here and I included some local history books as well. My mum’s recliner chair and teddy bear remain. The end table and floor lamp are new, although the table lamp was a thrift store find. The mirror from the bathroom of the house I just finished renovating was re-purposed here. In the TV stand I have a few children’s books too. All of the pictures were either ones I already owned, inherited from my Mum and kids, or from a thrift shop.
Guest Suite #2 Bedroom:
The bedroom was already painted a pale lilac shade and I didn’t feel like repainting at this time. A new queen size bed and mattress were purchased. New lamps and grey tufted bedding were also added. Eventually I will get some new night tables, but I am making do with these ones that I already have. The large flower picture was left behind at the rental house I just sold. Other art I already had or purchased at a dollar store.
Guest Suite #2 Bathroom...
The bathroom had been painted in the same pale aqua, Roman White by Beautitone, that I used in guest suit #1. I invested in some spa-like white towels and a few pictures
